Project Overview

Vetra Construction Services served as the general contractor for a complex commercial shop expansion for a local business, adding approximately 8,000 square feet of new operational space. What made this project particularly challenging was the requirement to demolish and remove existing shop roof structures while maintaining clear access for the client’s day-to-day operations to continue uninterrupted throughout construction.

All work was self-performed by the Vetra team, with design completed by a strategic partner — showcasing Vetra’s in-house capabilities and ability to deliver a turnkey solution from start to finish.

Scope of Work

The scope of work included:

•       Demolition and removal of existing shop roof structures

•       Phased construction to maintain active business operations and access during project

•       Foundation and concrete work for the 8,000 SF expansion

•       Structural framing and metal building erection

•       Multiple overhead door installation for vehicle and equipment access

•       Roofing and exterior envelope systems

•       Site work and civil improvements

The Vetra Difference

This project highlights what sets Vetra apart: the ability to self-perform complex work with our own experienced team rather than relying on outside subcontractors. By keeping all construction activities in-house and partnering strategically on design, Vetra maintained tight control over quality, scheduling, and safety — critical factors when working around an active business.

Safety & Execution

Managing demolition and new construction simultaneously while keeping a business fully operational demanded meticulous planning and disciplined execution. Vetra delivered the project on schedule and safely, with zero disruption to the client’s operations — a testament to the team’s professionalism and commitment to doing the job right.
