NYS SALT STORAGE BUILDING
Project Overview
Vetra Construction Services performed the demolition of existing structures and complete installation of a new salt storage building for New York State. Salt storage facilities are critical municipal infrastructure, protecting road treatment materials from the elements and ensuring communities are prepared for winter weather operations.
This project holds special significance as Vetra’s first New York State project — a milestone that reflects the company’s growing reputation and expanding reach in the municipal construction space.
Scope of Work
Vetra self-performed the full scope of work, including:
• Demolition and removal of existing structures
• Excavation and site preparation
• Concrete foundation and retaining wall construction
• Complete structural framing and truss system installation
• Heavy crane operations for framing and truss placement
• Exterior cladding and roofing
• Final site work and grading
