LEROY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT BUILDING
Project Overview
Vetra Construction Services performed the installation of a new structure to house new equipment at an existing wastewater treatment plant in LeRoy, NY. The project required construction on a tight schedule during the fall and winter months, adding significant weather-related challenges that demanded careful planning, adaptable scheduling, and a crew that could deliver regardless of conditions.
Scope of Work
The scope of work included:
• Foundation and concrete work
• Structural wood framing and truss system installation
• Heavy crane operations for framing and truss placement
• Roofing and exterior envelope
• Coordination with plant operations to ensure uninterrupted service
• Site work and civil improvements
Overcoming Challenges
Fall and winter construction in upstate New York is not for the faint of heart. Cold temperatures, snow, ice, and shortened daylight hours all add complexity to every phase of the build. Vetra’s experienced crews adapted to the conditions daily, maintaining productivity and quality while never compromising on safety — proving that our team delivers regardless of what the weather throws at us.
Safety & Execution
Construction at an active wastewater treatment facility required careful coordination to ensure uninterrupted plant operations throughout the build. Despite the tight timeline and challenging winter conditions, Vetra delivered the LeRoy WWTP building on schedule — a successful project that demonstrates our ability to execute under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
